About Us

Ole Mikkelsen has nearly 30 years of experience as a Life Sciences executive, specializing in medical device and biotech companies. He excels in driving growth and change through sustainable business models, operational structures, process discipline, and by fostering a winning culture.

As COO and founding member of Palette Life Sciences, Mr. Mikkelsen led the global expansion efforts of 3 products and the FDA clearance of their flagship product, Barrigel. He managed relationships with key opinion leaders, partners, and suppliers, as well as regulatory and notified bodies across multiple continents.

Previously, Mr. Mikkelsen was Senior Vice President of Business Excellence and Chief Information Officer at Accuray, Inc., and Vice President of Information Technology at Mentor Corporation. He also held several leadership roles at Amgen Inc. over a 12-year span at the Biotech giant.

Mr. Mikkelsen earned his MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and BAs in International Economics and Scandinavian Languages from UCLA. As an undergraduate, he was a standout soccer player, earning All-American honors, a spot on the 1980 US Olympic Team, and went on to play professionally for 5 seasons. He was recently inducted into the UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame in the Class of 2022.
